First we hear that House of Freaks founder Bryan Harvey and his entire family is killed, then we hear about another family killed nearby, and now the police are saying that Dandridge and his accompliance may have been busier than we dare imagine. This story gets more revolting by the day. Time for a hot shower with a wire brush.

‘gay civil rights’ bill passes house

Published January 20, 2006 by lisaolisa

Praise all that is nurturing, reasonable, and human, the Washington House passed, 60-37. Off to the Senate, to fail again or finally pass. Every talking head and blowhard I heard on MLK day denouncing equal treatment for the BLTGs was a Christian male. Christians are not discriminated against for their lifestyles or preferences; it seems odd that so many feel compelled to discriminate against others. The law still allows them to discriminate all they want in their religious organizations and has no effect on marriage. I hope that comforts them.

3 cheers for maria

Published January 20, 2006 by lisaolisa

now playing: american experience: two days in october

Three cheers for Maria for saving ANWAR from drilling in the defense bill, and also for leading the charge for biodiesel and other alternate fuels. She has both sides of the issues nicely covered by trying to reduce our consumption of petrochemicals to obviate the need for more oil exploration. It’s nice to see someone in Congress proposing a solution while opposing pork for Ted Stevens and more profits for big oil. It’s always entertaining to see Stevens make an ass out of himself, and choosing to not swear in testifying oil execs and screaming at Maria for politely requesting it was another in the countless media bites that epitomize the arrogance of the most powerful politicians on the hill.
